The dragon dance is a style of traditional Chinese dance and performance. Like lion dance, it is at festive celebrations. Chinese people use the word "Dragon Descendants" as a symbol of ethnic identity.

Performers who usually participate are members of a Kung Fu academy, and the dance will bring wealth and prosperity wherever the dance performed. Although most commonly seen during the Chinese New Year celebration, it can be performed anytime, anywhere, and can be used to celebrate everything from opening restaurants to birthdays. Lion Dance is a style of traditional Chinese culture dance where performers imitate a lion's movements in a lion's costume.

J started in Wing Chun and Tiny Trickers a couple of months ago now. I cannot speak highly enough of his instructors and the general atmosphere of Red Dragon. J's confidence has improved and on martial arts days, his whole face lights up as soon as he's out of bed. There's no pressure on the kids to perform but a strong sense of encouragement and celebration every time someone cracks a new skill. I highly recommend Red Dragon for anyone who is keen on martial arts, for their kids or themselves.

I honestly couldn't say enough just how welcoming Brett and all his staff really are! From the moment I walked in the door not only did I feel welcome but I felt at ease. I'm an older student and not for one second did they make me feel as if I couldn't do it. It was quite the opposite. They just somehow take any anxiety you may have and turn it into such a positive. So much so, that by the time I walked out I found myself feeling so positive and wanting to come back for more. I think for me it was that I could feel Brett's passion for the martial arts. Something that you can't buy at the shops!!!

I highly recommend the Red Dragon Martial Arts Centre run by Sifu Brett Fenton. Classes are well structured with enough drills to keep students learning at a good pace and at different skill levels. The instructors have a great attitude, inspire confidence and give hands on personal assistance and training. It's definitely the place to go to change anyone from the vague to "can do"!
